"I was so VERY excited to see this back on the market. However, what I bought in the relaunch does not have the fresh, like butter taste of the original. In fact, it tastes like the MELT product, which has a greasy, flat taste. Also, my container, refrigerated at all times after opening molded over in just over a week. This is a FAR inferior product to the original. I will not buy this again."
"I used to buy this all the time. It was so good I would melt it to dip crab legs in and it tasted like real butter. But now… after the comeback.. when it melts it’s like a paste and it’s more tangy in a non-butter way… more of a yogurt way. I hope they bring the old taste and texture back. Disappointed I bought 6 tubs (it’s not sold around where I live anymore). Omg I have dreams about how it used to taste."
"Had high hopes for this returning to the shelves and was terribly disappointed in multiple ways. The new formula is less flavorful, has a weird consistency, and went moldy before the expiration date. Fingers crossed they will return to the original formulation otherwise I won't be buying or recommending this any longer. Such a shame."
"I used to always buy this brand because it was the only one without “natural flavors” on the ingredients list. What a sad change in formula."
"First time buying so not able to compare to earlier formula but I loved it. Recommended it. But today I found mold and have only used 1/3 of the tub."
"This was literally the best tasting vegan butter and I even preferred it over regular butter! But it was the mushroom extract that gave it that amazing flavor! I see the website still lists it in the ingredients but I just bought it after it was missing in stores forever and I see no mushroom extract and the taste is now lackluster. What a shame! Please bring back the original recipe!!!"
"This was moldy when I bought it off the store shelf before even opening the seal. So disappointed."

"I had been waiting for Miyoko's to return to Meijer store shelves for what seemed like forever. When it finally did, my sister, knowing how long I'd been waiting for its return, snatched up 10 for me (yes, I loved it that much), 5 of the European Style and 5 of the Oat Butter. The European Style did not disappoint, but the Oat Butter left me unimpressed and letdown. I don't want to tell my sister, seeing as she was kind enough to buy 5 of them for me, but I'm using it mostly to butter my pan. Please, make it like Miyoko did!"
"I just found it at Sprouts in Sunnyvale, CA. It sounds like it started getting stocked in stores in late May 2026. Yum! This is the best vegan butter, hands down."
